Louisville loves to recycle
One decision we made early on as a paper shredding company was to become as green as possible. We believed that the future of Louisville, Kentucky, as well as the world, would rest on the shoulders of those who took recycling seriously.
Here is a great article for those who need some recycling tips for their company:
Tips On Recycling Office Paper
There are several good reasons why office paper must be recycled. First, papers used in offices are usually high-grade, and it's a shame to see these quality paper reduced to waste. A staggering 77% of these papers are recyclable. Second, an average business office employee can produce a pound and a half of paper waste in working for a business office daily. Finance offices generate waste paper from two to three pounds per employee daily. Third, production costs can be lowered simply by reducing office paper costs and using used paper whenever possible. Nuts and bolts of paper shredding
Regardless of how big or small your company is, if you store information that holds peoples personal data such as names, addresses, account numbers bank details, medical records etc, you have the same obligation to ensure that when the time comes, information is destroyed effectively so that no details can be retrieved from the documents once it leaves your premises.
As soon as you take personal details from any client, the format you hold that information on is always under the protection of the company who stores that information, that includes when it is on the premises as well as when it leaves the premises destroyed. If any information is discovered at a later date, the company is still held liable regarding the protection of that information.
Smaller businesses may think that they do not have enough paper documents which may warrant using a specialised offsite company to destroy their data, however, any small amount of paper documents still come under the same data protection laws and are therefore just as important when it comes to destruction as are the larger companies who hold more information.

Professional Document Shredding Tips
Document shredding is an essential measure to protecting your home or business's personal information. Learn the advantages of on site and off site professional document destruction.
Identity theft is becoming more common. So are crimes like bank fraud and business spying. Believe it or not, dumpster divers are a real problem. Families who do not need to shred many things could benefit from using an in-house shredder, usually located on top of a trash can. This is good for shredding the monthly bills and an occasional credit card application. However, businesses go through too much paper too waste their time with a small shredder.
